DOES IT HURT?

I apply anesthetic and let it work its magic prior to starting treatment. I also apply numbing gel halfway through the treatment to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. After the procedure clients describe the area as a light sunburn or lightly sensitive to the touch. Clients can take paracetamol (only if needed). Most clients are please to find that it is no more painful than tweezing the eyebrows.

HOW LONG WILL IT LAST ? 

Depending on your skin, health, Normally they last 1-3 years before a retouch is needed.

Here are some factors will cause your semi permanant tatttoo to fade faster :

-Oily skin

-Sun exposure

-Exfoliants

-Retinol products

sunscreen is recommended after the brow tattoo is healed (30days)

WHATS THE PROCESS LIKE ?
Consultation is done the same day of your appointment. I will discuss the aftercare with you and have you sign the consent & medical history form. You will also get a written copy of the aftercare instructions to take home

After taking your before photo, I will draw the brow design in pencil so you get an idea of shape and form. Once we have agreed on a final shape (ultimately it is your decision. – but I will always voice my opinion on what I think suits you aesthetically).We proceed to the numbing, then we will start the procedure.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT COLOUR TO CHOSE FROM?

I have plenty of colours to choose from and i would advice which is the best colour for you by matching your skin colour and hair colour. And I can also mix the colours together if you aren’t sold on any of them. 
 

AM I ABLE TO HAVE THE TREATMENT?

You may NOT have this procedure if: 

• You are under 18

• You are pregnant 

• Have been on Accutane within the past year

• Major heart problems / pacemaker

• On blood thinners medication

• Have HIV or Hepatitis or any other infectious or viral diseases

• Undergoing Chemotherapy

• You are Epileptic

• You are taking medications that may affect how your skin responds to blood clotting and healing.

• You develop infections easily

• If your previous tattoo is too dark or thick 

• Prone to Keloid 

• Allergy to lidocaine, prilocaine< benzocaine, tetracaine or epinephrine

Do you shave off all my eyebrow hair ?

No. i only clean up the extra hairs that is outside the frame where i am tattooing and trim them.

SHOULD I GROW MY BROWS BEFORE HAND ?

A tidy brow is preferred, but don’t over do it. I like to follow your natural shape. If you are going for waxing or threading please do it 2 week before the brows appointment.

WILL I NEED A TOUCH UP AFTER MY INITIAL APPOINTMENT?
Ombré brows is a two step process, initial appointment and a touch up appointment 6-12 weeks after. Within a week of your first treatment the color will fade as much as 10-40% or more lighter in shade and will healed to more of a natural makeup look. 

Please book your touch up within 3 weeks after your initial appointment for your 4-12weeks touchup. If second session is not made within 12 weeks for whatever reasons that is not approved by me, there will be an extra charges towards your second session.

HOW OFTEN DO I NEED A TOUCH UP ?

In order to keep your eyebrow tattoo results looking fresh, a yearly to 24 months touch up is recommended. 

WHY DO I NEED A TOUCH UP ?
Because color is implanted in the facial area there tends to be more fluid circulation than other parts of the body. Your face sees the most wear of any piece of you—exposure to the sun, food, facial products—the list goes on and on. All of these things cause permanent color to fade, this is why you need a touch up. 

 

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKES TO HEAL?
Healing time varies from individual to individual. Your skin will be considered fully healed after a month. The pigment takes some time to settle into the skin. A good month should pass before I consider the process complete.

IF MY EYEBROWS IS COMPLETED BY ANOTHER ARTIST WILL THIS CONSIDERED A TOUCH UP ? 

I require that anyone who has had their brows tattooed previously by another artist to send me pictures (full face front view and side views) via email at browcraftnz@gmail.com before booking an appointment.
